What it is
The Cooldown Manager is a new interface option in WoW Forever. In Blizzard’s words it pulls key information from your buffs or action bars into one spot you can customise. It is off by default and is turned on under Gameplay Enhancement in the Options (beta development notes (opens in a new tab)).
What it supports, build by build
- 24 September: Druid, Mage, Priest, Warrior and Warlock open for testing, more classes to follow.
- 1 October: racial abilities and Rogue added, and the duplicate entry for every spell rank no longer appears.
- 8 October: all classes, racial abilities and trinkets are supported. Consumables are planned for a later patch.
Known limits Blizzard listed
On 24 September Blizzard said spell rank support was still to come, and listed these problems: Healthstone cooldowns, Arcane Blast and pet cooldowns could not be tracked, Priests tracked every spell by default, Mana Gem needed an extra cast before tracking started, and item enhancements such as Windfury and rogue poisons could not be tracked. Blizzard’s later notes do not say which of these are fixed, so test your own class. The beta known issues page also calls the feature unfinished and uneven between classes (known issues).
Blizzard asked testers which spells should be tracked by default. Share that on the official beta forum.
