The new playable race of WoW Forever. The Skyborne descend from Highborne exiles who made a pact with elemental wind spirits and built a home in Skywall. They start on Zephras Isle, where the air spirits that once protected the island have vanished and the people are in trouble.
The High Order is called back to Azeroth to win back the arcane knowledge it has lost.

Zephras Isle
The starting island of both Skyborne races. Blizzard describes it as levels 1 to 12, and the quest list holds 110 quests here, from level 1 to 13, all new in Forever. They are the same for both factions.
Blizzard lists the Skyborne race and the Zephras Isle starting experience in its Skyborne upgrade packs. Blizzard’s post on character creation does not say more about who can make one.
Standard Definition Skyborne characters are planned for early 2027, which is after the 4 November launch. Blizzard has shown an early work-in-progress image and says more details will come closer to release.
Blizzard is reworking the High Definition (HD) Skyborne Druid forms so they fit the look of the rest of the game: crisper edges, more detailed fur and adjusted color saturation.
The Skyborne come from a more exotic setting, but the team wants their Druid forms to match the visual style of the other creatures in the world.
Blizzard agrees with the feedback that the HD Skyborne can look out of place next to the Standard Definition (SD) models and environments.
Standard Definition Skyborne player characters, with SD Druid forms, are in development for players who prefer the SD look.
