How it works

  1. EarnEach of the 65 challenges gives one Legacy Point. Points belong to your Battle.net account and any character that is not Hardcore can use them. Your first point opens the system.
  2. SpendAt launch a character can spend up to 16 points. Every character spends them its own way, so you can build one for crafting and another for travelling.
  3. GrowOne character alone can earn up to 29 points, from levelling, two trades, PvP, exploring, dungeons and raids, so nobody needs an alt to fill the 16. More characters add more points.
  4. UnlockEach tree opens its better perks as you spend points in it: the first row is free, the next needs 5 points in the same tree and the last needs 10.

Hardcore characters get challenges of their own later; the ones done on other rulesets do not show there. Blizzard’s announcement (opens in a new tab)
